Karen Talbot Gean
Born in Monroe, Louisiana in 1976, Karen graduated from Magnolia High School in Magnolia, Arkansas in 1995. She received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Masters in Business Admin-istration, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
Karen was admitted to the practice of law in both Arkansas and Texas in 2001, the same year in which she joined Bell & Boyd. Karen served as Deputy City Attorney for the City of Magnolia, Arkansas, from 2001 until 2004. She is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas and is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Springdale, Arkansas.
Karen resides with her husband, Paul, in Springdale, Arkansas.
Michael W. Boyd
Reared in Cleveland County, Arkansas, Michael graduated in 1994 from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a Bachelor of Arts in broadcast journalism. He earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas School of Law at Fayetteville in 1997. Michael joined Bell & Boyd in 2008.
Michael is City Attorney for Magnolia, Arkansas; chairman of a panel for the Office of Professional Conduct; Vice-President of the Arkansas 4-H Foundation, and a board member of Magnolia Arts and The Caring Place. He is a member of the Arkansas and Columbia County Bar Associations and a member and past president of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association. Michael is licensed to practice in Arkansas. He is a past president of the Magnolia Economic Development Corporation and Magnolia Unlimited.
Michael enjoys fishing, kayaking, and officiating high school football. He and his wife, Jamie, have four children and two grandchildren.
Ronny J. Bell
After serving honorably in the Air Force, Ronny received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 1973 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Law in 1977. He began his legal career in 1977 with the firm of Anderson and Crumpler in Magnolia, Arkansas, making partner by 1979.
In 1993, Ronny formed Bell Law Firm, P.A., offering the same quality of service and integrity that forged his reputation early in his career. In 2008, Ronny accepted Michael W. Boyd as partner and changed the firm's name to Bell & Boyd, P.A.
Ronny served as elected City Attorney for Magnolia, Arkansas, from 1983 to 2013. He is a licensed to practice in Arkansas, is a former member and past past president of the Magnolia Rotary Club, and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Ronny is an avid outdoorsman and especially enjoys fly fishing. Ronny has two children and one grandchild and resides with his wife, Kittena, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Jennifer Jameson McKendree
Jennifer is a home-town girl, having been born and raised in Magnolia, Arkansas. She graduated from Magnolia High School in 2000 and received a Bachelor of Arts in English from Southern Arkansas University in 2004. In 2007, Jennifer received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and joined Bell & Boyd that same year as an associate.
In 2012, Jennifer became Assistant General Counsel for the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission and served in that capacity until 2018, when she returned to private practice in Magnolia.
Jennifer's areas of practice include adoption, guardianship, divorce, estate planning, estate ad- ministration, and real estate.
She is a member of the Arkansas and Columbia County Bar Associations and Magnolia Rotary Club. Jennifer enjoys fishing, gardening, quilting, and spending time with her family and friends. She resides in Magnolia with her husband, Mike, and their three chihuahuas.
Stuart W. McMahen
Stuart was born and raised in Springhill, Louisiana. He received a B.A. in Sociology, English Literature, and French from Centenary College of Louisiana before earning his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University Law School. Stuart is admitted to the practice of law in Louisiana and Arkansas. He joined Bell & Boyd in 2014.
He is a member of the American, Arkansas, Louisiana, Columbia County, and Webster Parish Bar Associations as well as the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association. Stuart was an honoree of “Five Under Forty” by the Springhill-North Webster Chamber of Commerce in 2017.
Stuart serves as City Attorney for the Louisiana cities of Springhill, Cullen, and Cotton Valley and as an Assistant District Attorney for the 26th Judicial District Court. His private practice focuses on healthcare compliance and regulatory matters.
Stuart resides with his wife, Nancy, and his hobbies include baseball, hiking, and woodworking.
Joel was born and raised in Magnolia, Arkansas, and attended Southern Arkansas University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in History in 2013. After college, Joel worked for three years as a title insurance agent with Title Guaranty of Columbia County, Inc.
He received his Juris Doctorate in 2019 from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. While at law school, Joel founded the Property Law Society.
Joel's practice focuses on issues related to real estate, including oil and gas.
Joel is a member of the Columbia County Bar Association, Magnolia Lions Club, and Bethel Church.
Joel clerked for Bell & Boyd during his law school career, and we are proud to have him as our newest associate!
Lyne graduated from Nashville High School in Nashville, Arkansas, in 1984 and received her Bachelor of Science in Education (Business) from Southern Arkansas University in 1988.
Lyne assists the attorneys in preparing for hearings and trials, serves as a court assistant and receptionist, and assists with scheduling.
Lyne began working with Bell & Boyd in 2003.
Lyne has two sons and resides with her husband, Doug, in Magnolia.
Aimee graduated from Emerson High School in Emerson, Arkansas, in 1994. She worked in the banking industry for 21 years before joining Bell & Boyd in 2016.
Aimee serves as receptionist, assists with scheduling and timekeeping, and helps attorneys prepare for hearings and trials.
Aimee resides with her husband, DeWayne, and her two sons in Emerson, Arkansas.
From Bossier City, Jeri graduated from Parkway High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Centenary College of Louisiana and Master of Arts in Counseling from Louisiana Tech University.
After serving as a classroom teacher, guidance counselor, and school administrator, Jeri retired from education in 2012 and joined Bell & Boyd in its Springhill office in 2015.
Jeri assists with scheduling and preparing for hearings and trials and serves as receptionist for the Springhill office.
Jeri resides with her husband, Derek, in Springhill.
Lacey handles accounts payable and accounts receivable for Bell & Boyd.
She graduated from Emerson High School in 2002 and received her Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business from Southern Arkansas University in 2006 Lacey has experience as a payroll clerk, training coordinator, administrative manager, and land manager for a large multi-national corporation.
Lacey is a pet therapy volunteer for Life Touch Hospice, a Forever Mulerider with the SAU Alumni Association, and a member of the Emerson Booster Club.
Lacey attends Central Baptist Church, has a daughter, and enjoys attending her nieces' basketball games.
